Our policy

Self Learning Academy, Inc. does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, pregnancy, marital status, age, disability, military or veteran status, citizenship, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.

This policy applies to admission to programs, employment, contracted services, volunteer roles, and all activities conducted by Self Learning Academy.

Reasonable accommodations

We provide reasonable accommodations for participants and staff with disabilities, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.

If you need an accommodation to participate in a program or use our services, contact info@selfacademyfl.org. We will respond and arrange the accommodation within a reasonable timeframe.

Reporting discrimination

If you believe you experienced discrimination from Self Learning Academy, tell us. Email info@selfacademyfl.org with the date, location, people involved, and what happened. We will investigate within 14 business days.

You may also file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (HHS OCR) or the Florida Commission on Human Relations. We will not retaliate against anyone who reports discrimination in good faith.
